The SYPL1-AKR1D1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SYPL1 and AKR1D1 genes. The fusion of the SYPL1 and AKR1D1 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. Deficiency of this enzyme may contribute to hepatic dysfunction. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
