SYMPK-DYRK1B Fusion FISH Probe
The SYMPK-DYRK1B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SYMPK and DYRK1B genes. The fusion of the SYMPK and DYRK1B genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SYMPK Gene Summary
This gene encodes a nuclear protein that functions in the regulation of polyadenylation and promotes gene expression. The protein forms a high-molecular weight complex with components of the polyadenylation machinery. It is thought to serve as a scaffold for recruiting regulatory factors to the polyadenylation complex. It also participates in 3'-end maturation of histone mRNAs, which do not undergo polyadenylation. The protein also localizes to the cytoplasmic plaques of tight junctions in some cell types. Gene Name: Symplekin
Chromosome: CHR19: 46318699 -46366548
Locus: 19q13.32
DYRK1B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a family of nuclear-localized protein kinases. The encoded protein participates in the regulation of the cell cycle. Expression of this gene may be altered in tumor cells, and mutations in this gene were found to cause abdominal obesity-metabolic syndrome 3. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2014]
Gene Name: Dual Specificity Tyrosine Phosphorylation Regulated Kinase 1B
