SUFU-GBF1 Fusion FISH Probe
The SUFU-GBF1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SUFU and GBF1 genes. The fusion of the SUFU and GBF1 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma, Breast Invasive Carcinoma, and Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

The encoded protein is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that regulates the recruitment of proteins to membranes by mediating GDP to GTP exchange. The encoded protein is localized to the Golgi apparatus and plays a role in vesicular trafficking by activating ADP ribosylation factor 1.
