STAM-EPYC Fusion FISH Probe
The STAM-EPYC Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the STAM and EPYC genes. The fusion of the STAM and EPYC genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

EPYC Gene Summary
Dermatan sulfate proteoglycan 3 is a member of the small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycan family. This gene is composed of seven exons. It regulates fibrillogenesis by interacting with collagen fibrils and other extracellular matrix proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Epiphycan
Chromosome: CHR12: 91357455 -91398803
Locus: 12q21.33
STAM Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the signal-transducing adaptor molecule family. These proteins mediate downstream signaling of cytokine receptors and also play a role in ER to Golgi trafficking by interacting with the coat protein II complex. The encoded protein also associates with hepatocyte growth factor-regulated substrate to form the endosomal sorting complex required for transport-0 (ESCRT-0), which sorts ubiquitinated membrane proteins to the ESCRT-1 complex for lysosomal degradation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Name: Signal Transducing Adaptor Molecule
Chromosome: CHR10: 17686123 -17758821
Locus: 10p12.33
