SRGAP1-AUTS2 Fusion FISH Probe
The SRGAP1-AUTS2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SRGAP1 and AUTS2 genes. The fusion of the SRGAP1 and AUTS2 genes has been associated with Uterine Carcinosarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

AUTS2 Gene Summary
This gene has been implicated in neurodevelopment and as a candidate gene for numerous neurological disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disability, and developmental delay. Mutations in this gene have also been associated with non-neurological disorders, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia, aging of the skin, early-onset androgenetic alopecia, and certain cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Gene Name: AUTS2, Activator Of Transcription And Developmental Regulator
Chromosome: CHR7: 69063905 -70257885
Locus: 7q11.22
SRGAP1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase activator, working with the GTPase CDC42 to negatively regulate neuronal migration. The encoded protein interacts with the transmembrane receptor ROBO1 to inactivate CDC42. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
Gene Name: SLIT-ROBO Rho GTPase Activating Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 64238540 -64541613
Locus: 12q14.2
