SPAG9-TEKT1 Fusion FISH Probe
The SPAG9-TEKT1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SPAG9 and TEKT1 genes. The fusion of the SPAG9 and TEKT1 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

The encoded protein functions as a scaffold protein that structurally organizes mitogen-activated protein kinases and mediates c-Jun-terminal kinase signaling. This protein also binds to kinesin-1 and may be involved in microtubule-based membrane transport. This protein may play a role in tumor growth and development.
