SPAG7-CAMTA2 Fusion FISH Probe
The SPAG7-CAMTA2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SPAG7 and CAMTA2 genes. The fusion of the SPAG7 and CAMTA2 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SPAG7 Gene Summary
The Sperm Associated Antigen 7 (SPAG7) gene is located on chr17 :4862520-4871132 at 17p13.2.
Gene Name: Sperm Associated Antigen 7
Chromosome: CHR17: 4862520 -4871132
Locus: 17p13.2
CAMTA2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the calmodulin-binding transcription activator protein family. Members of this family share a common domain structure that consists of a transcription activation domain, a DNA-binding domain, and a calmodulin-binding domain. The encoded protein may be a transcriptional coactivator of genes involved in cardiac growth. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010]
Gene Name: Calmodulin Binding Transcription Activator 2
Chromosome: CHR17: 4871286 -4890960
Locus: 17p13.2
