SORBS3-XPO7 Fusion FISH Probe
The SORBS3-XPO7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SORBS3 and XPO7 genes. The fusion of the SORBS3 and XPO7 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SORBS3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an SH3 domain-containing adaptor protein. The presence of SH3 domains play a role in this protein's ability to bind other cytoplasmic molecules and contribute to cystoskeletal organization, cell adhesion and migration, signaling, and gene expression. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
Gene Name: Sorbin And SH3 Domain Containing 3
Chromosome: CHR8: 22409250 -22433008
Locus: 8p21.3
XPO7 Gene Summary
The transport of protein and large RNAs through the nuclear pore complexes (NPC) is an energy-dependent and regulated process. The import of proteins with a nuclear localization signal (NLS) is accomplished by recognition of one or more clusters of basic amino acids by the importin-alpha/beta complex; see MIM 600685 and MIM 602738. The small GTPase RAN (MIM 601179) plays a key role in NLS-dependent protein import. RAN-binding protein-16 is a member of the importin-beta superfamily of nuclear transport receptors.[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2002]
Gene Name: Exportin 7
Chromosome: CHR8: 21777179 -21864096
Locus: 8p21.3
