SND1-IMMP2L Fusion FISH Probe
The SND1-IMMP2L Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SND1 and IMMP2L genes. The fusion of the SND1 and IMMP2L genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SND1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a transcriptional co-activator that interacts with the acidic domain of Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 2 (EBNA 2), a transcriptional activator that is required for B-lymphocyte transformation. Other transcription factors that interact with this protein are signal transducers and activators of transcription, STATs. This protein is also thought to be essential for normal cell growth. A similar protein in mammals and other organisms is a component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Gene Name: Staphylococcal Nuclease And Tudor Domain Containing 1
Chromosome: CHR7: 127292201 -127732659
Locus: 7q32.1
IMMP2L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein involved in processing the signal peptide sequences used to direct mitochondrial proteins to the mitochondria. The encoded protein resides in the mitochondria and is one of the necessary proteins for the catalytic activity of the mitochondrial inner membrane peptidase (IMP) complex. Two variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Gene Name: Inner Mitochondrial Membrane Peptidase Subunit 2
