SMYD4-SERPINF1 Fusion FISH Probe
The SMYD4-SERPINF1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SMYD4 and SERPINF1 genes. The fusion of the SMYD4 and SERPINF1 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

SERPINF1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the serpin family that does not display the serine protease inhibitory activity shown by many of the other serpin proteins. The encoded protein is secreted and strongly inhibits angiogenesis. In addition, this protein is a neurotrophic factor involved in neuronal differentiation in retinoblastoma cells.
