SMARCD2-NUFIP2 Fusion FISH Probe
The SMARCD2-NUFIP2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SMARCD2 and NUFIP2 genes. The fusion of the SMARCD2 and NUFIP2 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

SMARCD2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, whose members display helicase and ATPase activities and which are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. The encoded protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and has sequence similarity to the yeast Swp73 protein.
