SKAP1-NQO2 Fusion FISH Probe
The SKAP1-NQO2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SKAP1 and NQO2 genes. The fusion of the SKAP1 and NQO2 genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NQO2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the thioredoxin family of enzymes. It is a cytosolic and ubiquitously expressed flavoprotein that catalyzes the two-electron reduction of quinone substrates and uses dihydronicotinamide riboside as a reducing coenzyme. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neurodegenerative diseases and several cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014]
Gene Name: N-ribosyldihydronicotinamide:quinone Reductase 2
Chromosome: CHR6: 3000066 -3019994
Locus: 6p25.2
SKAP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a T cell adaptor protein, a class of intracellular molecules with modular domains capable of recruiting additional proteins but that exhibit no intrinsic enzymatic activity. The encoded protein contains a unique N-terminal region followed by a PH domain and C-terminal SH3 domain. Along with the adhesion and degranulation-promoting adaptor protein, the encoded protein plays a critical role in inside-out signaling by coupling T-cell antigen receptor stimulation to the activation of integrins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Src Kinase Associated Phosphoprotein 1
Chromosome: CHR17: 46210801 -46507594
Locus: 17q21.32
