SIRT6-CREB3L3 Fusion FISH Probe
The SIRT6-CREB3L3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SIRT6 and CREB3L3 genes. The fusion of the SIRT6 and CREB3L3 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SIRT6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of NAD-dependent enzymes that are implicated in cellular stress resistance, genomic stability, aging and energy homeostasis. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleus, exhibits ADP-ribosyl transferase and histone deacetylase activities, and plays a role in DNA repair, maintenance of telomeric chromatin, inflammation, lipid and glucose metabolism. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Gene Name: Sirtuin 6
Chromosome: CHR19: 4174105 -4182596
Locus: 19p13.3
CREB3L3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the basic-leucine zipper family and the AMP-dependent transcription factor family. The encoded protein is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and acts as a transcription factor activated by cyclic AMP stimulation. The encoded protein binds the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and the box-B element and has been linked to acute inflammatory response, hepatocellular carcinoma, triglyceride metabolism, and hepcidin expression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2012]
Gene Name: CAMP Responsive Element Binding Protein 3 Like 3
Chromosome: CHR19: 4153628 -4173048
Locus: 19p13.3
