SIN3A-SEMA7A Fusion FISH Probe
The SIN3A-SEMA7A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SIN3A and SEMA7A genes. The fusion of the SIN3A and SEMA7A genes has been associated with Colon Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SEMA7A Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the semaphorin family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane glycoprotein. The encoded protein is found on activated lymphocytes and erythrocytes and may be involved in immunomodulatory and neuronal processes. The encoded protein carries the John Milton Hagen (JMH) blood group antigens. Mutations in this gene may be associated with reduced bone mineral density (BMD). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: Semaphorin 7A (John Milton Hagen Blood Group)
Chromosome: CHR15: 74701629 -74726299
Locus: 15q24.1
SIN3A Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional regulatory protein. It contains paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains, which are important for protein-protein interactions and may mediate repression by the Mad-Max complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: SIN3 Transcription Regulator Family Member A
Chromosome: CHR15: 75661719 -75748124
Locus: 15q24.2
