SIN3A-CSPG4 Fusion FISH Probe
The SIN3A-CSPG4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SIN3A and CSPG4 genes. The fusion of the SIN3A and CSPG4 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CSPG4 Gene Summary
A human melanoma-associated chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan plays a role in stabilizing cell-substratum interactions during early events of melanoma cell spreading on endothelial basement membranes. CSPG4 represents an integral membrane chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan expressed by human malignant melanoma cells. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycan 4
Chromosome: CHR15: 75966662 -76005189
Locus: 15q24.2
SIN3A Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional regulatory protein. It contains paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains, which are important for protein-protein interactions and may mediate repression by the Mad-Max complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: SIN3 Transcription Regulator Family Member A
Chromosome: CHR15: 75661719 -75748124
Locus: 15q24.2
