SH3BP4-MST1R Fusion FISH Probe
The SH3BP4-MST1R Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SH3BP4 and MST1R genes. The fusion of the SH3BP4 and MST1R genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

MST1R Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cell surface receptor for macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP) with tyrosine kinase activity. The mature form of this protein is a heterodimer of disulfide-linked alpha and beta subunits, generated by proteolytic cleavage of a single-chain precursor. The beta subunit undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation upon stimulation by MSP. This protein is expressed on the ciliated epithelia of the mucociliary transport apparatus of the lung, and together with MSP, thought to be involved in host defense. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms that may undergo similar proteolytic processing. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
Gene Name: Macrophage Stimulating 1 Receptor
Chromosome: CHR3: 49924435 -49941306
Locus: 3p21.31
SH3BP4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein with 3 Asn-Pro-Phe (NPF) motifs, an SH3 domain, a PXXP motif, a bipartite nuclear targeting signal, and a tyrosine phosphorylation site. This protein is involved in cargo-specific control of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, specifically controlling the internalization of a specific protein receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
