SEC61A1-INPP4B Fusion FISH Probe
The SEC61A1-INPP4B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SEC61A1 and INPP4B genes. The fusion of the SEC61A1 and INPP4B genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

INPP4B Gene Summary
INPP4B encodes the inositol polyphosphate 4-phosphatase type II, one of the enzymes involved in phosphatidylinositol signaling pathways. This enzyme removes the phosphate group at position 4 of the inositol ring from inositol 3,4-bisphosphate. There is limited data to suggest that the human type II enzyme is subject to alternative splicing, as has been established for the type I enzyme. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Inositol Polyphosphate-4-phosphatase Type II B
Chromosome: CHR4: 142949181 -143767604
Locus: 4q31.21
SEC61A1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the SECY/SEC61- alpha family. It appears to play a crucial role in the insertion of secretory and membrane polypeptides into the endoplasmic reticulum. This protein found to be tightly associated with membrane-bound ribosomes, either directly or through adaptor proteins. This gene encodes an alpha subunit of the heteromeric SEC61 complex, which also contains beta and gamma subunits. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Sec61 Translocon Alpha 1 Subunit
Chromosome: CHR3: 127771211 -127790526
Locus: 3q21.3
