SCARB1-DHX37 Fusion FISH Probe
The SCARB1-DHX37 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SCARB1 and DHX37 genes. The fusion of the SCARB1 and DHX37 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SCARB1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma membrane receptor for high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL). The encoded protein mediates cholesterol transfer to and from HDL. In addition, this protein is a receptor for hepatitis C virus glycoprotein E2. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Gene Name: Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 125262173 -125348519
Locus: 12q24.31
DHX37 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a DEAD box protein. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: DEAH-box Helicase 37
Chromosome: CHR12: 125431369 -125473667
Locus: 12q24.31
