SCARA3-TPM2 Fusion FISH Probe
The SCARA3-TPM2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SCARA3 and TPM2 genes. The fusion of the SCARA3 and TPM2 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

This gene encodes beta-tropomyosin, a member of the actin filament binding protein family, and mainly expressed in slow, type 1 muscle fibers. Mutations in this gene can alter the expression of other sarcomeric tropomyosin proteins, and cause cap disease, nemaline myopathy and distal arthrogryposis syndromes.
