SARNP-MMP19 Fusion FISH Probe
The SARNP-MMP19 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the SARNP and MMP19 genes. The fusion of the SARNP and MMP19 genes has been associated with Sarcoma, and Uterine Carcinosarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

MMP19 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded protein is secreted as an inactive proprotein, which is activated upon cleavage by extracellular proteases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants for this gene. Gene Name: Matrix Metallopeptidase 19
Chromosome: CHR12: 56229213 -56236735
Locus: 12q13.2
SARNP Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that is upregulated in response to various cytokines. The encoded protein may play a role in cell cycle progression. A translocation between this gene and the myeloid/lymphoid leukemia gene, resulting in expression of a chimeric protein, has been associated with acute myelomonocytic leukemia. Pseudogenes exist on chromosomes 7 and 8. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]
Gene Name: SAP Domain Containing Ribonucleoprotein
