RYR3-BUB1B Fusion FISH Probe
The RYR3-BUB1B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RYR3 and BUB1B genes. The fusion of the RYR3 and BUB1B genes has been associated with Brain Lower Grade Glioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

BUB1B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a kinase involved in spindle checkpoint function. The protein has been localized to the kinetochore and plays a role in the inhibition of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), delaying the onset of anaphase and ensuring proper chromosome segregation. Impaired spindle checkpoint function has been found in many forms of cancer. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: BUB1 Mitotic Checkpoint Serine/threonine Kinase B
Chromosome: CHR15: 40453209 -40513337
Locus: 15q15.1
RYR3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a ryanodine receptor, which functions to release calcium from intracellular storage for use in many cellular processes. For example, the encoded protein is involved in skeletal muscle contraction by releasing calcium from the sarcoplasmic reticulum followed by depolarization of T-tubules. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Gene Name: Ryanodine Receptor 3
Chromosome: CHR15: 33603176 -34158303
