RUNX1-DTD1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RUNX1-DTD1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RUNX1 and DTD1 genes. The fusion of the RUNX1 and DTD1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

RUNX1 Gene Summary
Core binding factor (CBF) is a heterodimeric transcription factor that binds to the core element of many enhancers and promoters. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit of CBF and is thought to be involved in the development of normal hematopoiesis. Chromosomal translocations involving this gene are well-documented and have been associated with several types of leukemia. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Runt Related Transcription Factor 1
Chromosome: CHR21: 36160097 -36421595
Locus: 21q22.12
DTD1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is similar in sequence to histidyl-tRNA synthetase, which hydrolyzes D-tyrosyl-tRNA(Tyr) into D-tyrosine and free tRNA(Tyr). The encoded protein binds the DNA unwinding element and plays a role in the initiation of DNA replication. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Gene Name: D-tyrosyl-tRNA Deacylase 1
Chromosome: CHR20: 18568555 -18744560
Locus: 20p11.23
