RPRD2-CA14 Fusion FISH Probe

The RPRD2-CA14 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RPRD2 and CA14 genes. The fusion of the RPRD2 and CA14 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma, Breast Invasive Carcinoma, and Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

RPRD2 Gene Summary

The Regulation Of Nuclear Pre-mRNA Domain Containing 2 (RPRD2) gene is located on chr1 :150336989-150449041 at 1q21.2.

Gene Name: Regulation Of Nuclear Pre-mRNA Domain Containing 2

Chromosome: CHR1: 150336989 -150449041

Locus: 1q21.2

CA14 Gene Summary

Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. CA XIV is predicted to be a type I membrane protein and shares highest sequence similarity with the other transmembrane CA isoform, CA XII; however, they have different patterns of tissue-specific expression and thus may play different physiologic roles. Gene Name: Carbonic Anhydrase 14

Chromosome: CHR1: 150230217 -150237480

Locus: 1q21.2
