RPP14-FLNB Fusion FISH Probe
The RPP14-FLNB Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RPP14 and FLNB genes. The fusion of the RPP14 and FLNB genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FLNB Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the filamin family. The encoded protein interacts with glycoprotein Ib alpha as part of the process to repair vascular injuries. The platelet glycoprotein Ib complex includes glycoprotein Ib alpha, and it binds the actin cytoskeleton. Mutations in this gene have been found in several conditions: atelosteogenesis type 1 and type 3; boomerang dysplasia; autosomal dominant Larsen syndrome; and spondylocarpotarsal synostosis syndrome. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
Gene Name: Filamin B
Chromosome: CHR3: 57994126 -58157982
Locus: 3p14.3
RPP14 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a subunit of ribonuclease P and has 3' to 5' exoribonuclease activity. Transcripts for this gene are bicistronic and include a conserved downstream open reading frame for the hydroxyacyl-thioester dehydratase type 2 (HTD2) gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
Gene Name: Ribonuclease P/MRP Subunit P14
