RPAP3-HDAC7 Fusion FISH Probe
The RPAP3-HDAC7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RPAP3 and HDAC7 genes. The fusion of the RPAP3 and HDAC7 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

HDAC7 Gene Summary
Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. The protein encoded by this gene has sequence homology to members of the histone deacetylase family. This gene is orthologous to mouse HDAC7 gene whose protein promotes repression mediated via the transcriptional corepressor SMRT. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Histone Deacetylase 7
Chromosome: CHR12: 48176506 -48213763
Locus: 12q13.11
RPAP3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an RNA polymerase II-associated protein. The encoded protein may function in transcriptional regulation and may also regulate apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]
Gene Name: RNA Polymerase II Associated Protein 3
Chromosome: CHR12: 48055714 -48099844
Locus: 12q13.11
