ROCK1-GUCA2B Fusion FISH Probe
The ROCK1-GUCA2B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ROCK1 and GUCA2B genes. The fusion of the ROCK1 and GUCA2B genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

GUCA2B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate multiple protein products, including uroguanylin, a member of the guanylin family of peptides and an endogenous ligand of the guanylate cyclase-C receptor. Binding of this peptide to its cognate receptor stimulates an increase in cyclic GMP and may regulate salt and water homeostasis in the intestine and kidneys. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
Gene Name: Guanylate Cyclase Activator 2B
Chromosome: CHR1: 42619091 -42621495
Locus: 1p34.2
ROCK1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein serine/threonine kinase that is activated when bound to the GTP-bound form of Rho. The small GTPase Rho regulates formation of focal adhesions and stress fibers of fibroblasts, as well as adhesion and aggregation of platelets and lymphocytes by shuttling between the inactive GDP-bound form and the active GTP-bound form. Rho is also essential in cytokinesis and plays a role in transcriptional activation by serum response factor. This protein, a downstream effector of Rho, phosphorylates and activates LIM kinase, which in turn, phosphorylates cofilin, inhibiting its actin-depolymerizing activity. A pseudogene, related to this gene, is also located on chromosome 18. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
Gene Name: Rho Associated Coiled-coil Containing Protein Kinase 1
Chromosome: CHR18: 18529702 -18691812
Locus: 18q11.1
