ROBO2-TNNT2 Fusion FISH Probe
The ROBO2-TNNT2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ROBO2 and TNNT2 genes. The fusion of the ROBO2 and TNNT2 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ROBO2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ROBO family, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of proteins that are highly conserved from fly to human. The encoded protein is a transmembrane receptor for the slit homolog 2 protein and functions in axon guidance and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with vesicoureteral reflux, characterized by the backward flow of urine from the bladder into the ureters or the kidney. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]
Gene Name: Roundabout Guidance Receptor 2
Chromosome: CHR3: 77089293 -77699114
Locus: 3p12.3
TNNT2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with dilated cardiomyopathy. Transcripts for this gene undergo alternative splicing that results in many tissue-specific isoforms, however, the full-length nature of some of these variants has not yet been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Troponin T2, Cardiac Type
Chromosome: CHR1: 201328141 -201346805
Locus: 1q32.1
