RNF41-PRIM1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RNF41-PRIM1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RNF41 and PRIM1 genes. The fusion of the RNF41 and PRIM1 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PRIM1 Gene Summary
The replication of DNA in eukaryotic cells is carried out by a complex chromosomal replication apparatus, in which DNA polymerase alpha and primase are two key enzymatic components. Primase, which is a heterodimer of a small subunit and a large subunit, synthesizes small RNA primers for the Okazaki fragments made during discontinuous DNA replication. The protein encoded by this gene is the small, 49 kDa primase subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: DNA Primase Subunit 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 57125363 -57146146
Locus: 12q13.3
RNF41 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase. The encoded protein plays a role in type 1 cytokine receptor signaling by controlling the balance between JAK2-associated cytokine receptor degradation and ectodomain shedding. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Gene Name: Ring Finger Protein 41
Chromosome: CHR12: 56596287 -56615753
Locus: 12q13.3
