RNF130-HRH2 Fusion FISH Probe
The RNF130-HRH2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RNF130 and HRH2 genes. The fusion of the RNF130 and HRH2 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

HRH2 Gene Summary
Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. Histamine receptor H2 belongs to the family 1 of G protein-coupled receptors. It is an integral membrane protein and stimulates gastric acid secretion. It also regulates gastrointestinal motility and intestinal secretion and is thought to be involved in regulating cell growth and differentiation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
Gene Name: Histamine Receptor H2
Chromosome: CHR5: 175085039 -175113245
Locus: 5q35.2
RNF130 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a RING finger motif and is similar to g1, a Drosophila zinc-finger protein that is expressed in mesoderm and involved in embryonic development. The expression of the mouse counterpart was found to be upregulated in myeloblastic cells following IL3 deprivation, suggesting that this gene may regulate growth factor withdrawal-induced apoptosis of myeloid precursor cells. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Gene Name: Ring Finger Protein 130
Chromosome: CHR5: 179382473 -179499109
Locus: 5q35.3
