RICTOR-HCN1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RICTOR-HCN1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RICTOR and HCN1 genes. The fusion of the RICTOR and HCN1 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

RICTOR Gene Summary
RICTOR and MTOR (FRAP1; MIM 601231) are components of a protein complex that integrates nutrient- and growth factor-derived signals to regulate cell growth (Sarbassov et al., 2004 [PubMed 15268862]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Gene Name: RPTOR Independent Companion Of MTOR Complex 2
Chromosome: CHR5: 38938021 -39074501
Locus: 5p13.1
HCN1 Gene Summary
The membrane protein encoded by this gene is a hyperpolarization-activated cation channel that contributes to the native pacemaker currents in heart and neurons. The encoded protein can homodimerize or heterodimerize with other pore-forming subunits to form a potassium channel. This channel may act as a receptor for sour tastes. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Gene Name: Hyperpolarization Activated Cyclic Nucleotide Gated Potassium Channel 1
Chromosome: CHR5: 45259351 -45696220
Locus: 5p12
