RHPN2-PEPD Fusion FISH Probe

The RHPN2-PEPD Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RHPN2 and PEPD genes. The fusion of the RHPN2 and PEPD genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

PEPD Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the peptidase family. The protein forms a homodimer that hydrolyzes dipeptides or tripeptides with C-terminal proline or hydroxyproline residues. The enzyme serves an important role in the recycling of proline, and may be rate limiting for the production of collagen. Mutations in this gene result in prolidase deficiency, which is characterized by the excretion of large amount of di- and tri-peptides containing proline. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

Gene Name: Peptidase D

Chromosome: CHR19: 33877854 -34012799

Locus: 19q13.11

RHPN2 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the rhophilin family of Ras-homologous (Rho)-GTPase binding proteins. The encoded protein binds both GTP- and GDP-bound RhoA and GTP-bound RhoB and may be involved in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]

Gene Name: Rhophilin Rho GTPase Binding Protein 2

Chromosome: CHR19: 33469497 -33555824

Locus: 19q13.11
