RFX7-LIPC Fusion FISH Probe
The RFX7-LIPC Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RFX7 and LIPC genes. The fusion of the RFX7 and LIPC genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

LIPC Gene Summary
LIPC encodes hepatic triglyceride lipase, which is expressed in liver. LIPC has the dual functions of triglyceride hydrolase and ligand/bridging factor for receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Lipase C, Hepatic Type
Chromosome: CHR15: 58724174 -58861073
Locus: 15q21.3
RFX7 Gene Summary
RFX7 is a member of the regulatory factor X (RFX) family of transcription factors (see RFX1, MIM 600006) (Aftab et al., 2008 [PubMed 18673564]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2009]
Gene Name: Regulatory Factor X7
