RFC1-EHBP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RFC1-EHBP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RFC1 and EHBP1 genes. The fusion of the RFC1 and EHBP1 genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

RFC1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes the large subunit of replication factor C, a five subunit DNA polymerase accessory protein, which is a DNA-dependent ATPase required for eukaryotic DNA replication and repair. The large subunit acts as an activator of DNA polymerases, binds to the 3' end of primers, and promotes coordinated synthesis of both strands. It may also have a role in telomere stability. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been noted for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Gene Name: Replication Factor C Subunit 1
Chromosome: CHR4: 39289068 -39368001
Locus: 4p14
EHBP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an Eps15 homology domain binding protein. The encoded protein may play a role in endocytic trafficking. A single nucleotide polymorphism in this gene is associated with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: EH Domain Binding Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 62900985 -63273621
Locus: 2p15
