RERE-SLC2A5 Fusion FISH Probe
The RERE-SLC2A5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RERE and SLC2A5 genes. The fusion of the RERE and SLC2A5 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma, Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma, and Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

The encoded protein co-localizes with a transcription factor in the nucleus, and its overexpression triggers apoptosis. A similar protein in mouse associates with histone deacetylase and is thought to function as a transcriptional co-repressor during embryonic development.
