RBM39-CRYZL1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RBM39-CRYZL1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RBM39 and CRYZL1 genes. The fusion of the RBM39 and CRYZL1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

RBM39 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the U2AF65 family of proteins. The encoded protein is found in the nucleus, where it co-localizes with core spliceosomal proteins. It has been shown to play a role in both steroid hormone receptor-mediated transcription and alternative splicing, and it is also a transcriptional coregulator of the viral oncoprotein v-Rel. Multiple transcript variants have been observed for this gene. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome X. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
Gene Name: RNA Binding Motif Protein 39
Chromosome: CHR20: 34291530 -34330258
Locus: 20q11.22
CRYZL1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that has sequence similarity to zeta crystallin, also known as quinone oxidoreductase. This zeta crystallin-like protein also contains an NAD(P)H binding site. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed but their full-length nature has not been completely determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Crystallin Zeta Like 1
Chromosome: CHR21: 34961647 -35014160
Locus: 21q22.11
