RBBP7-NDUFAF4 Fusion FISH Probe
The RBBP7-NDUFAF4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RBBP7 and NDUFAF4 genes. The fusion of the RBBP7 and NDUFAF4 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

RBBP7 Gene Summary
This protein is a ubiquitously expressed nuclear protein and belongs to a highly conserved subfamily of WD-repeat proteins. It is found among several proteins that binds directly to retinoblastoma protein, which regulates cell proliferation. The encoded protein is found in many histone deacetylase complexes, including mSin3 co-repressor complex. It is also present in protein complexes involved in chromatin assembly. This protein can interact with BRCA1 tumor-suppressor gene and may have a role in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
Gene Name: RB Binding Protein 7, Chromatin Remodeling Factor
Chromosome: CHRX: 16862774 -16888534
Locus: Xp22.2
NDUFAF4 Gene Summary
NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I) catalyzes the transfer of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q) in the first step of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, resulting in the translocation of protons across the inner mitochondrial membrane. This gene encodes a complex I assembly factor. Mutations in this gene are a cause of mitochondrial complex I deficiency. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
Gene Name: NADH:ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Complex Assembly Factor 4
Chromosome: CHR6: 97337186 -97345767
Locus: 6q16.1
