RAB7A-ANXA1 Fusion FISH Probe
The RAB7A-ANXA1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the RAB7A and ANXA1 genes. The fusion of the RAB7A and ANXA1 genes has been associated with Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma And Endocervical Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use.

ANXA1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a membrane-localized protein that binds phospholipids. This protein inhibits phospholipase A2 and has anti-inflammatory activity. Loss of function or expression of this gene has been detected in multiple tumors. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]
Gene Name: Annexin A1
Chromosome: CHR9: 75766780 -75785307
Locus: 9q21.13
RAB7A Gene Summary
RAB family members are small, RAS-related GTP-binding proteins that are important regulators of vesicular transport. Each RAB protein targets multiple proteins that act in exocytic / endocytic pathways. This gene encodes a RAB family member that regulates vesicle traffic in the late endosomes and also from late endosomes to lysosomes. This encoded protein is also involved in the cellular vacuolation of the VacA cytotoxin of Helicobacter pylori. Mutations at highly conserved amino acid residues in this gene have caused some forms of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) type 2 neuropathies. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: RAB7A, Member RAS Oncogene Family
Chromosome: CHR3: 128444978 -128533641
Locus: 3q21.3
