QSOX2-CTU2 Fusion FISH Probe
The QSOX2-CTU2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the QSOX2 and CTU2 genes. The fusion of the QSOX2 and CTU2 genes has been associated with Adrenocortical Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

QSOX2 Gene Summary
QSOX2 is a member of the sulfhydryl oxidase/quiescin-6 (Q6) family (QSOX1; MIM 603120) that regulates the sensitization of neuroblastoma cells for IFN-gamma (IFNG; MIM 147570)-induced cell death (Wittke et al., 2003 [PubMed 14633699]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2009]
Gene Name: Quiescin Sulfhydryl Oxidase 2
Chromosome: CHR9: 139098181 -139137687
Locus: 9q34.3
CTU2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein which is involved in the post-transcriptional modification of transfer RNAs (tRNAs). The encoded protein plays a role in thiolation of uridine residue present at the wobble position in a subset of tRNAs, resulting in enhanced codon reading accuracy. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
Gene Name: Cytosolic Thiouridylase Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR16: 88772890 -88781786
Locus: 16q24.3
