PTK7-CNOT2 Fusion FISH Probe
The PTK7-CNOT2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PTK7 and CNOT2 genes. The fusion of the PTK7 and CNOT2 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

CNOT2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a subunit of the multi-component CCR4-NOT complex. The CCR4-NOT complex regulates mRNA synthesis and degradation and is also thought to be involved in mRNA splicing, transport and localization. The encoded protein interacts with histone deacetylases and functions as a repressor of polymerase II transcription. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Gene Name: CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR12: 70636773 -70748773
Locus: 12q15
PTK7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the receptor protein tyrosine kinase family of proteins that transduce extracellular signals across the cell membrane. The encoded protein lacks detectable catalytic tyrosine kinase activity, is involved in the Wnt signaling pathway and plays a role in multiple cellular processes including polarity and adhesion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: Protein Tyrosine Kinase 7 (inactive)
Chromosome: CHR6: 43044028 -43129457
Locus: 6p21.1
