PRR12-FLT3LG Fusion FISH Probe
The PRR12-FLT3LG Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PRR12 and FLT3LG genes. The fusion of the PRR12 and FLT3LG genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FLT3LG Gene Summary
Dendritic cells (DCs) provide the key link between innate and adaptive immunity by recognizing pathogens and priming pathogen-specific immune responses. FLT3LG controls the development of DCs and is particularly important for plasmacytoid DCs and CD8 (see MIM 186910)-positive classical DCs and their CD103 (ITGAE; MIM 604682)-positive tissue counterparts (summary by Sathaliyawala et al., 2010 [PubMed 20933441]).[supplied by OMIM, Jan 2011]

PRR12 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a proline-rich protein that contains two A-T hook DNA binding domains. A chromosomal translocation and gene fusion between this gene and zinc finger, MIZ-type containing 1 (Gene ID: 57178) may underlie intellectual disability and neuropsychiatric problems in a human patient. Enriched expression of this gene in embryonic mouse brain suggests that this gene may play a role in nervous system development. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
