PRDM10-NT5E Fusion FISH Probe
The PRDM10-NT5E Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PRDM10 and NT5E genes. The fusion of the PRDM10 and NT5E genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NT5E Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma membrane protein that catalyzes the conversion of extracellular nucleotides to membrane-permeable nucleosides. The encoded protein is used as a determinant of lymphocyte differentiation. Defects in this gene can lead to the calcification of joints and arteries. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Gene Name: 5'-nucleotidase Ecto
Chromosome: CHR6: 86159301 -86205509
Locus: 6q14.3
PRDM10 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor that contains C2H2-type zinc-fingers. It also contains a positive regulatory domain, which has been found in several other zinc-finger transcription factors including those involved in B cell differentiation and tumor suppression. Studies of the mouse counterpart suggest that this protein may be involved in the development of the central nerve system (CNS), as well as in the pathogenesis of neuronal storage disease. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: PR/SET Domain 10
Chromosome: CHR11: 129769600 -129872730
Locus: 11q24.3
