PPP1CB-FOSL2 Fusion FISH Probe
The PPP1CB-FOSL2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PPP1CB and FOSL2 genes. The fusion of the PPP1CB and FOSL2 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

FOSL2 Gene Summary
The Fos gene family consists of 4 members: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. These genes encode leucine zipper proteins that can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thereby forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. As such, the FOS proteins have been implicated as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Gene Name: FOS Like 2, AP-1 Transcription Factor Subunit
Chromosome: CHR2: 28615778 -28637516
Locus: 2p23.2
PPP1CB Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is a serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as cell division, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, protein synthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Mouse studies suggest that PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Protein Phosphatase 1 Catalytic Subunit Beta
Chromosome: CHR2: 28974613 -29025806
Locus: 2p23.2
