PPIG-SCN9A Fusion FISH Probe
The PPIG-SCN9A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PPIG and SCN9A genes. The fusion of the PPIG and SCN9A genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SCN9A Gene Summary
This gene encodes a voltage-gated sodium channel which plays a significant role in nociception signaling. Mutations in this gene have been associated with primary erythermalgia, channelopathy-associated insensitivity to pain, and paroxysmal extreme pain disorder. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2009]
Gene Name: Sodium Voltage-gated Channel Alpha Subunit 9
Chromosome: CHR2: 167051696 -167232497
Locus: 2q24.3
PPIG Gene Summary
The Peptidylprolyl Isomerase G (PPIG) gene is located on chr2 :170440849-170494254 at 2q31.1.
