PNPLA7-SNAPC4 Fusion FISH Probe
The PNPLA7-SNAPC4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PNPLA7 and SNAPC4 genes. The fusion of the PNPLA7 and SNAPC4 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

SNAPC4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes the largest subunit of the small nuclear RNA-activating protein (SNAP) complex. The encoded protein contains a Myb DNA-binding domain, and is essential for RNA polymerase II and III polymerase transcription from small nuclear RNA promoters. A mutation in this gene is associated with ankylosing spondylitis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Gene Name: Small Nuclear RNA Activating Complex Polypeptide 4

PNPLA7 Gene Summary
Human patatin-like phospholipases, such as PNPLA7, have been implicated in regulation of adipocyte differentiation and have been induced by metabolic stimuli (Wilson et al., 2006 [PubMed 16799181]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2008]
