PLCH1-MUC13 Fusion FISH Probe
The PLCH1-MUC13 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PLCH1 and MUC13 genes. The fusion of the PLCH1 and MUC13 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PLCH1 Gene Summary
PLCH1 is a member of the PLC-eta family of the phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) superfamily of enzymes that cleave phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2) to generate second messengers inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG) (Hwang et al., 2005 [PubMed 15702972]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2009]
Gene Name: Phospholipase C Eta 1
Chromosome: CHR3: 155197670 -155421997
Locus: 3q25.31
MUC13 Gene Summary
Epithelial mucins, such as MUC13, are a family of secreted and cell surface glycoproteins expressed by ductal and glandular epithelial tissues (Williams et al., 2001 [PubMed 11278439]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Mucin 13, Cell Surface Associated
Chromosome: CHR3: 124624288 -124653595
Locus: 3q21.2
