PIK3R1-NDUFB7 Fusion FISH Probe
The PIK3R1-NDUFB7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PIK3R1 and NDUFB7 genes. The fusion of the PIK3R1 and NDUFB7 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NDUFB7 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the multisubunit NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I). Mammalian complex I is composed of 45 different subunits. It is located at the mitochondrial inner membrane. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It transfers electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: NADH:ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Subunit B7
Chromosome: CHR19: 14676889 -14682889
Locus: 19p13.12
PIK3R1 Gene Summary
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase phosphorylates the inositol ring of phosphatidylinositol at the 3-prime position. The enzyme comprises a 110 kD catalytic subunit and a regulatory subunit of either 85, 55, or 50 kD. This gene encodes the 85 kD regulatory subunit. Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase plays an important role in the metabolic actions of insulin, and a mutation in this gene has been associated with insulin resistance. Alternative splicing of this gene results in four transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Gene Name: Phosphoinositide-3-kinase Regulatory Subunit 1
Chromosome: CHR5: 67511583 -67597649
Locus: 5q13.1
