PDIA6-DKK3 Fusion FISH Probe
The PDIA6-DKK3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PDIA6 and DKK3 genes. The fusion of the PDIA6 and DKK3 genes has been associated with Head And Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma . These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

PDIA6 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the disulfide isomerase (PDI) family of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions. The encoded protein has an N-terminal ER-signal sequence, two catalytically active thioredoxin (TRX) domains, a TRX-like domain, and a C-terminal ER-retention sequence. This protein inhibits the aggregation of misfolded proteins and exhibits both isomerase and chaperone activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Gene Name: Protein Disulfide Isomerase Family A Member 6
Chromosome: CHR2: 10923516 -10952960
Locus: 2p25.1
DKK3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the dickkopf family. The secreted protein contains two cysteine rich regions and is involved in embryonic development through its interactions with the Wnt signaling pathway. The expression of this gene is decreased in a variety of cancer cell lines and it may function as a tumor suppressor gene. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Dickkopf WNT Signaling Pathway Inhibitor 3
Chromosome: CHR11: 11984542 -12030917
Locus: 11p15.3
