PDIA4-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe
The PDIA4-SIAE Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PDIA4 and SIAE genes. The fusion of the PDIA4 and SIAE genes has been associated with Thyroid Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

PDIA4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the disulfide isomerase (PDI) family of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins that catalyze protein folding and thiol-disulfide interchange reactions. The encoded protein has an N-terminal ER-signal sequence, three catalytically active thioredoxin (TRX) domains, two TRX-like domains and a C-terminal ER-retention sequence. This protein, when bound to cyclophilin B, enhances the rate of immunoglobulin G intermolecular disulfide bonding and antibody assembly. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2016]
Gene Name: Protein Disulfide Isomerase Family A Member 4
Chromosome: CHR7: 148700153 -148725782
Locus: 7q36.1
SIAE Gene Summary
This gene encodes an enzyme which removes 9-O-acetylation modifications from sialic acids. Mutations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to autoimmune disease 6. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, found either in the cytosol or in the lysosome, have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
Gene Name: Sialic Acid Acetylesterase
Chromosome: CHR11: 124505684 -124546199
Locus: 11q24.2
