PDE4D-RAB3C Fusion FISH Probe
The PDE4D-RAB3C Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PDE4D and RAB3C genes. The fusion of the PDE4D and RAB3C genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PDE4D Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of four mammalian counterparts to the fruit fly 'dunce' gene. The encoded protein has 3',5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity and degrades cAMP, which acts as a signal transduction molecule in multiple cell types. This gene uses different promoters to generate multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode functional proteins.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Gene Name: Phosphodiesterase 4D
Chromosome: CHR5: 58264865 -59783925
Locus: 5q11.2-q12.1
RAB3C Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the RAS oncogene family and encodes a small GTPase. Other similar small GTPases are known to be involved in vesicle trafficking, and the encoded protein was shown to play a role in recycling phagocytosed MHC class 1 complexes to the cell surface. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Gene Name: RAB3C, Member RAS Oncogene Family
Chromosome: CHR5: 57878938 -58147406
Locus: 5q11.2
