PDE4D-FGF14 Fusion FISH Probe
The PDE4D-FGF14 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PDE4D and FGF14 genes. The fusion of the PDE4D and FGF14 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

FGF14 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. A mutation in this gene is associated with autosomal dominant cerebral ataxia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Fibroblast Growth Factor 14
Chromosome: CHR13: 102373204 -103054124
Locus: 13q33.1
PDE4D Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of four mammalian counterparts to the fruit fly 'dunce' gene. The encoded protein has 3',5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity and degrades cAMP, which acts as a signal transduction molecule in multiple cell types. This gene uses different promoters to generate multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode functional proteins.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Gene Name: Phosphodiesterase 4D
Chromosome: CHR5: 58264865 -59783925
Locus: 5q11.2-q12.1
